Aesthetically gorgeous. The script is also almost laughable and the dialogues even more so.
No action, no word is credible, so cut off from the public
I’m not entirely sure what was done with the sound, or was every line redone in post-production? In the end, it’s very flat and takes away the spice you expect from a great actress like Noemi Merlant.
A dozen people left the room during the film, the first after 10 minutes
In this regard, all the actors are impressive because they gave everything to an empty shell. I myself fought to stay, out of respect for the cast and crew (Naomi Watts is such a good actress) and the cinema itself.
I barely made it
The end brings nothing. I went running, worried that in 2024 a version of the famously erotic title was slapped onto the film, which in no way reflects the evolution of feminism and female pleasure since 1974.
